In the Spotlight

We're honored for our first "In the Spotlight" star to be Bali, the Balinese kitty! She just recently turned 20 - yes, you read that right - in 2007. Bali lives at home with her mom, Barbara, and although she has several serious health conditions (kidney disease, hyperthyroidism and hypertension), she is actually doing very well.

Barbara is completely dedicated to her care and brings Bali to our clinic 2 - 3 times each week to get her hydration and much needed support. Barbara and Bali have been not only "mom and daughter" for over 20 years, but they are also best friends. Bali is very affectionate, loving, and "vocal"...

She "meows" SO loudly that she can actually sound like a small baby! Bali enjoys being patted and talked to and, even though she has to have medical treatment often, she never gives us ANY trouble and remains the good natured and happy kitty that she is! She is definitely easy to love!

Thanks Barbara, for trusting your dear friend's health to us, and thank you for sharing this precious kitty with the entire staff at Volunteer Veterinary Clinic, Inc.!

*Update '09 - Bali has since passed away and will be greatly missed by all.
